Nail art novice: Autumn polka dots..

Autumn is my favourite time of year.

How many times have you heard that recently? The only difference is I have a right to count this as my favourite season. Why? Well, it's my birthday month of course. I even find myself singing the Andy Williams song 'It's the most wonderful time of the year..' because I actually believe it. In my opinion, Christmas can do one.

Down to business.. Some simple autumn inspired, polka dot nail art.

Nail varnish - Barry M Gelly (Satsuma) and Classic Matte (Burgundy Crush) with a top coat.. Which is why it lost the matt look. Whoops!

A perfect effect for a nail art novice like myself. The polka dot is easily created by one of my favourite nail art tools; the bobby pin.

I can't remember where I spotted polka dots quite like this, but I preferred it to a full on polka dot nail. A single dot on a few and a polka dot row as an accent. Not to mention, this effect is simple to achieve.

I reckon this design is almost like abstract falling leaves.. Well, that's what I'll tell myself until I get better at this nail art type shinanegans anyway. The colours are particularly autumnal too.

Look at that.. Pierrelecat out and about on autumn watch. In tartan. My, I do try my hardest at fashion.

What, who or where is your current nail art inspiration?
