I'm the first person to admit that if I have money in my bank account I'd rather spend it on clothes than things for my home.. But I do apply the same shopping theory to both.. 'It's got to be original.'
Just as my biggest fear is going out in a piece of clothing that someone else is wearing, I'd hate for my home to look like B&M Bargains had just thrown up in my sitting room. (Although, there are some pretty tasty bargains in that store..)

So when I find a designer that meets my criteria well, I've just got to share it with my you!
May I introduce Lydia Leith..*
Unless you've been living in a hole for the last couple of summers I'd be surprised if you hadn't already heard of Lydia's designs.. Do sick bags ring any bells?
Something you may not know is that Lydia is from my hometown of Carlisle (Well done, Carlisle!) and there's a whole lot of original design and art work available on her website at the moment. I am in love with her current Christmas card range (pictured above) and just how I've survived every Christmas without one of these festive sick bags I will never know**!
I have it on good authority that Lydia is working on some new designs for the new year, so bookmark her page and keep an eye on her blog for all the latest updates.. Just remember, you heard it here first!

*This isn't a sponsored post.. I just really like her stuff!
**Christmas present ideas? In Novemeber? I really am getting organised..
