Pierrelecat's Favourite Blog Reads..

I often tweet about looking for new blogs to read and asking for some recommedations, so I thought I'd share some of my favourites..

The first on my list is Helen (Good name!) over at the lovecats inc. Not only does this girl have oodles of effortless style and a wardrobe to die for, she recently gave me some of the best advice. I am a complete beauty novice and Helen admits she's a skin care junkie. After a particularly lovely review of some of the products she'd been using, I left a comment along the lines of 'Argh. Help me. Skin, yeah? What do I do?'

Not only did I receive a speedy reply, but Helen sent me the most helpful email, listing what skin care products she uses, what they're good for and her daily routine. She had taken so much time to help me out for no other reason than being nice.. I was blown away!

Since then I've been working my way through her recommended products finding out what I like and the ones I want to try, with the majority ending up on my Christmas list. I would recommend her blog 100 times over.

Oh, and if you like coats prepare to have serious coat envy. Helen has quite a collection..

The second recommendation is Bex over at Bexceptional. I came across this blog when I first started pierrelecat, and it turns out this lovely lady is from Cumbria just like me! That's not the only reason why it's in my daily reads though..

Bex, in my opinion, is the one to go to about ethical fashion. Everything I know about it, I've pretty much learnt from her blog! From Bodyshop goodies to new ethical fashion companies like ReBagz (where she landed herself a summer internship in L.A.. Swoon!) this blog covers it all.

Bex also has a bit of a thing about Innocent Smoothies and their hats. Totally understandable. They are rather cute..

This blog makes me laugh. Laugh and laugh and laugh. Actual real life LOL-ing.

Kim, over at The Lunacy of Ink is an amazing writer, whose daily observations concern things you might have noticed but were unable to articulate properly. Fortunately, she can do it waaaay better, even if you tried. I found out about this blog when Kim was shortlisted for a Cosmo Blogger award this year and I've never looked back. I've been recommending it to everyone. Me and my Mam are avid readers.

Particular favourite posts include Honeymoon Olympics and What a Tangled Web We Wee. My advice is to read them all and we can be massive fan girls together.

So those are some of my daily reads.. What are yours?

  4. Hi Helen, I love your review of Helen's Lovecatsinc, her blog is so cool! I'm tempted to ask her for skin advice now, unless you want to pass on the tops. I don't have the best of skin, but then again, I guess I don't do much else to help it...

Oh by the way, I'm Helen too, clearly a good name :)

Please come and check out my blog if you get time, I've given it a bit of a revamp, clearly have too much time on my hands...
