POSt MATERial March - APRil wishlist

Well I did it. It's over.. Not one new item of clothing was bought all month. And what exactly did I learn?

  • I had to think a bit more about what I already had and found some amazing new outfits that were in my wardrobe all along.
  • I took a little longer finding what I needed amongst the second hand/ charity shop/ vintage goodies on offer.. And when I got bored looking it usually meant I didn't really need it anyway.
  • I didn't save any money.. But I LOVE everything I've bought.

Hopefully I won't rush out and spend all my money in H&M today. Although I am tempted. Didn't stop me creating a bit of a wishlist for April. OK, bank balance.. Prepare yourself..

I first saw this t-shirt on the beautiful Sara over at saraluxe.com and when I found out it was only £15 it went straight to the top of the wishlist. Let's be twins and all get it here.

Over the last month it has become apparent that my obsession with triangle based jewellery is growing. Fortunately, the lovely Jade over at Gingerpickle has so many beautiful necklaces that it'll probably keep me going until May. Possibly. Find these beauties and all the earrings that make me want to get my ears pierced here.

Holiday shoes = Sorted. Thank you ASOS..

And finally, inspired by the recent good weather we've had, I want a pair of shiny cycling shorts. I had a pair for every day of the week when I was 10. I think I'm going to work that look again this summer. Head to American Apparel for your new favourite shorts*.

What do you think of my picks? Have you got an April wishlist yet? Will anyone else be attempting cycling shorts this summer?

*Head over to American Apparel for 90% off selected lines TODAY ONLY.. Nope, it's not an April Fool !!

  1. I'm too scared to wear cycling shorts! Good on you though, would love to see how you've styled them in an OOTD post when you get them! x

    1. Haha.. We'll see when they're delivered! Seeing as the last time I wore a pair was when I was 10 years old they may not be exactly what I imagine..

  2. Good luck with wearing the cycling shorts, I think I had quite a few pairs of them when I was younger too. I'd look forward to seeing how you style them! I really want some triangle shape jewellery, I've been looking for some recently but I've not found any :(. Congratulations on not buying any new clothes for a month! :) xx

  3. Well done! That's such an achievement! My new years resolution was to cut back on all new clothing purchases. I have grown weary of this new fangled consumerist culture we have! Shops like Primark etc make it all too easy to buy into the fast, mass produced fashion of today. That being said i have found Primark hard to resist (they have some really nice things in at the minute! O_O) It really does make you realise how many clothes you actually own and never wear!

Those shoes are so sweet! xxx
