OOTD | Last of the flip-flops

I've been forced to say goodbye to one of my favourite pieces of jewellery this week. That's probably why I don't look very happy in my outfit photos.

Ok, I've cheered up slightly in this one...

I was out and about in Kendal when the sun was still shining and flip-flops were still acceptable. Little did I know this would be the last time I would be wear my favourite necklace. 

This is me waving goodbye to my Pull and Bear necklace after it tragically snapped in my jewellery bag.

And hello to a new ring from The Rouge and The Wolf.

Is there an appropriate way to mourn the loss of a favourite jewellery item? A full blog post on my despair my be slightly excessive, not to mention overdramatic. 
But boy, that necklace and me... We sure had some good times.
