I'm preparing myself for a blogger backlash. Wait for it..
I'm not really a huge summer fan.
There. I typed it. And it's true. Sure I love lighter nights and sunshine and sunglasses, but I also like layers and occasional drizzle and flower shoots. To me, spring time is the one..
When I received some jewellery* from Dominique Dei the first thing I thought of was pairing it with an outfit consisting of neon co-ords and accessories in preparation for the summer.
Unfortunately that's just not me.. And I don't own a single neon item of clothing, never mind coordinates.
So instead I styled a spring time ensemble that I'll probably be wearing a lot over the next few months.

Shorts and tights? Yes. Velvet everywhere? Yes. A kimono that's been sitting in my wardrobe since the summer sales last year? YES. Boho chic without the tan? Count me in.
To me spring is about feeling eternally optimistic that the best is yet to come.
How can summer possible beat that?!
