Everyone knows what I mean when I say work wardrobe.
For some people it's a uniform. For others it's clothes you can't quite bring yourself to get rid of so they've been repurposed. Sometimes it's just a collection of items that aren't particularly special but oh-so-functional.
The ultimate interview outfit though... Not everyone has that hanging in their wardrobe. Right? A week or so ago FarFetch.com got in touch with me with some awesome interview outfit inspiration images.
In the middle of my minimal wardrobe clear out I thought that this email couldn't have come at a better time. Knowing that I could have one perfect interview outfit in my new and improved streamlined clothing collection, that can be adapted as trends shift, would be a pretty savvy thing to do.
Image c/o farfetch.com This interview outfit is for those seeking work in the creative industry. Slightly less formal than your typical interview get-up, but with a few items that stand out and make sure you won't be forgotten.
I mean... That bag? I need it in my life...After a digging around in my own wardrobe I found my perfect interview outfit. Turns out it had been hidden in there all along. Dress - ASOSShirt* - French Connection (You might recognise it from this post...)Necklace - Pull and BearShoes - Topshop
So this is my version. Something that's smart but with a few key pieces that will, hopefully, get me noticed for the right reasons.
Not only that but it's mega comfortable (very important in an interview) and can be updated with a different top or more low key shoes. Not that I'm planning on leaving my job any time soon. I really do love what I'm doing now. It's just nice to know there's something useful in that endless wardrobe of mine.
Have you found your perfect interview outfit yet?

I always hated job interviews, i've only had about three in total but deciding what to wear is always a nightmare! I love this asos dress and it's perfectly style for an interview!

I think it's tremendously hard to pick out the right outfit for a job interview. After all, the first impression is what counts and the wrong blouse can ruin everything. Or so I tell myself. I love your choice of garments, very classy!

I love this outfit! It's always tempting to dress too 'corporate' for an interview, but this is a great way to look smart and professional whilst still adding personality!
