Things I love but never wear.. #03

Yep, you guessed.. It's that time again when I delve into the depths of my wardrobe to find a piece of clothing I've been hoarding, never wearing and in need of a little #fbloggers love and attention..

Hello shapes-that-have-never-been-featured-on-a-piece-of-clothing dress.. I wonder why you're here?

As predicted.. Yes, I love this dress. No, I don't wear it.

I picked this bad boy up on eBay a few years ago. Like a lot of clothes I love but never wear I fell for it at first sight. When it eventually arrived, I put it on right there and then! What followed was a pretty crazy first viewing of the house I now own, with the guy that owned it getting an invite to our wedding. But that's another story..

There's also the issue that I might be wearing the dress back to front. I've never really been sure..

What makes this dress different to my other things I love but never wear items is that I HAVE worn this dress. Quite a bit. But rather than embracing the a 90s kids TV presenter look, I've started to think it's maybe a bit too bright to wear in my mid (Ok, ok.. Late) 20s. I admit, this dress is always going to be a permanent fixture in my wardrobe.. But is there somehow I can make it a bit more wearable?

So it's over to you*.. Should I embrace the primary coloured print or cover the colour?! All advice welcome..

*Just want to give a HUUUGE thank you to all the lovely people that have followed my blog.. I hit the 200 GFC follower mark last week and I'm chuffed to bits!

  2. Hello! Massive congrats on the 200GFC count, you deserve it, your blog is one of my favourites and i am not biased whatsoever ;)

I love this! But having only met you once it is not some thing i would ever pick out as thinking you would wear! That said i love how you have styled it with the patent belt and little rolled sleeve….hmm i think it would look fab on holiday with wedges, bear legs and a huge brimmed straw hat. Or you could dress it down completely and team it with a really chunky black over sized cardi, spiky black ankle boots and a really red lip, messy hair etc.

Either way, do not dispose of it lol xxxxx

  3. I love this little series, as I think we're all guilty of having things in our wardrobe that never get worn! It's rubbish when they are things you actually do like - I've got lots of bits that have never seen the light of day purely because nothing goes with them!
This dress is amazing, you should give it an airing for spring!

  5. I love this so much. And yes, it has a 90's kids tv presenter vibe about it.

I think you're wearing it right, or at least that's how I'd wear it, I think it works that way.

I think just a dark jacket over it would tone it down a bit, but I say embrace it! xx

    1. Thank you! It's true though. I was looking over a load of photos of things I didn't wear that I ended up selling on eBay. I would have kept half the stuff if I'd have just taken a chance and worn it!

  9. It's amazing, I love the print. Maybe to tone it down a bit, wear a denim shirt on top? Or tuck it into a pair of denim shorts? ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
