CHARity shop finds.. #001

So I've made it through the second weekend of Material March; my self imposed new-clothes shopping ban. Weekends seem to be the biggest challenge. It's almost second nature to have a wander round the shops on a Saturday. So rather than do the same old Topshop-H&M-Miss Selfridge route, I've been taking a detour via the charity shops. Usually if I'm charity shopping I love a good browse and seeing what I find, but experiencing charity shopping for a purpose is something I'd definitely recommend.

I never fail to find something in the charity shops in Alnwick*, Northumberland. So I decided to treat myself and head over there on Saturday with my chairty shop wishlist in hand. As predicted I was able to tick a few bits off the list..

I was so lucky to find this 90s body-con style purple/black lace dress with a button detail collar. It'll be perfect with black DMs. Oh, yeah.. And only £2.99 !

Bangles and a necklace to add to my ever increasing collection and another amazing find.. A black lace jacket. Seriously, get yourself to Alnwick..

Tiddles loves a good charity shop haul.. And a photo opportunity. Obviously.

Does anyone else know of a charity shop hot spot like Alnwick? What do you think of these finds?

*Although Alnwick is my favourite destination for chairty shopping.. If you're heading that way make sure you check out the spectacular Alnwick Gardens and the unreal second hand book store Barter Books that's set up in an old Victorian train station. Do it.

    1. Even jewellery? You can always find a bit of trashy 80s gold round our way..

  2. I don't find anything like that when I go into charity shops, I guess people just aren't as kind with their unwanted clothes in Birmingham! xx

    1. Haha.. You've got to look for the really nice places where they give even nicer stuff to the charity shops. Top tip, that !

  7. Charity shops are best, hands down. High street's more "reliable", but where's the fun in that?
