I have been lusting over this dress from Topshop for
Find it here. Alternatively, there's a midi length style available (which I was also tempted to buy..) but being a bit of a shortie myself I thought I'd get more wear out of the other. However, if you do fancy the midi version I've found an almost identical dress from Dorothy Perkins that is nearly £10 cheaper !! Got to admit, there's really not much in it..
I think I actually prefer the Dorothy Perkins dress (The darker grey one and you can grab it here ) The sleeves are really cute ! What do you think?
Obviously, today is the first day of London Fashion Week. Still don't have my invite.. Yet. If it doesn't make it to my letter box by tomorrow I will probably be heading for the next best thing..* Shop and Rock at Northumbria Uni on the 19th. This sounds like one hell of a party combining vintage shopping by day, some great music by night and the availability of alcohol throughout (At student prices too..) This event, supporting British Red Cross and open to all, will be host to catwalk shows, vintage stalls and showcasing the best of local talent. Music will be from the likes of Hyde & Beast, Symphonic Pictures and The Green Hour. Check out their website for more details..
Hurrah !! Carlisle have managed to bag themselves a great gig on Saturday night at our local small music venue the brickyard. Rough trade favourites 1990s are headlining and are being joined by 6 (Yes, 6!!) other bands on Saturday the 18th, including a band described as 'dirty roxy disco' aka Casual Sex. I honestly can't wait. Get your tickets here and make sure you support good music coming to a smaller city..**
* Up north, anyway !
**..And my favourite Friday finds? Got to be my new followers, they're lovely comments and amazing blogs.
